I made this for a swap that I participating in with SBStampers, my Stampin' Up! group in Seattle. I love simple cards, and this one was really easy to do.

The piece behind the felt snowflake is an easy technique called Faux Linen. I first sanded my piece of glossy cardstock with a sanding block, ensuring to use vertical strokes. Turn the piece of cardstock ninety degrees, and repeat. Using the brayer, I brayered my color onto the glossy cardstock, in this case using Old Olive. You could also sponge on the color, but I prefer the brayer. Then taking the sanding block one last time, I lightly sanded again to get that great crosshatch pattern one can see in linen.
